All About Adam... (so far)

As of today, Adam is 2 months and 10 days old!!
Some facts about Adam:
  • He weighs 12 pounds 15 oz
  • He is 24 1/2 inches tall
  • He loves to stick his tongue out
  • He is starting to smile and laugh
  • He is very vocal and talks to us every minute that he is awake
  • He's sleeping much better through the night
  • And He is very interactive!
Adam had his two month check up yesterday and got his vaccinations. He had a rough day after that, but he is doing much better today and is back to his regular old self!

In 13 days we will be flying home to Idaho Falls. We're excited to see and spend time with family and show off our little Adam!

Adam sitting on the couch with us. Just hanging out with the family.

Trying to catch his smile, but the camera is just too slow

Stephen and Adam. The boys just hanging out!

I recently started "wearing" Adam! We're still getting used to it, but it keeps my hands free and we don't have to carry in the carseat which is also very nice!

Adam is growing up so fast so we'll do our best to always keep you updated!

Ladies and Gentlemen... Our newest arrival!!

Adam Michael Lang was born on September 27, 2010 weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 20.5 inches long! He had a rough start with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, but is 100% perfect now and the cutest little man you've ever seen!
Adam is a wonderful sleeper! He is 2 weeks 1 day old today and only wakes up once during the night! Yay!! He is awake for most of the day and that makes us happy because we are able to get a decent amount of sleep. We are so excited that He is finally here and in our lives. It's amazing how something so small can bring so much joy into our lives!

Here is the latest picture of Adam. We will get better pictures taken soon for announcements!

Adam Update!!

37 weeks!
His letters on the wall!
Some of His stuff!

This is the most recent belly picture! I don't take them very often because honestly, I think they are kind of tacky, but now you know just how big I look. 37 is what my doctor considers "full term" so Adam, feel free to come whenever!

We found the super cute letters at Michael's! We bought some paint so they would match our color scheme! I think they turned out pretty nice!

Here our some of the things we received at our baby shower and after! We have the swing and our baby seat that will be installed in the car in the near future! The stroller is also there buried under all of those blankets!

These are just a few pictures we have. We're still learning the whole "blog" thing, so this is all I'll post for now!  If you can see the wall it is green! It's just pale so it's not too overpowering! We're so excited for our little monkey to be here! We can't wait and are ready any day now!

Restless Repetition

Hello to everyone out there. I would like to just say that life as usual is great! I am STILL learning Chinese at neck breaking speed while preparing myself for the rapidly approaching arrival of the newest member of the Lang family. Nicole and I are about a month out from our "due date" and we are patiently waiting for Adam.

News from this week is as follows;
On Sunday evening we arrived at a decision for Adam's middle name. We will release this information to family and the general public later.
On Monday I was able to wear my Air Force blue sweater for the first time. It looks super FLY!
The rest of the week hasn't happened yet, so I will update later.

中文

你叫什么名字?
We are now located in beautiful Monterey, California where Stephen is attending the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, or DLI for short. Stephen is learning Mandarin Chinese and it has pretty much consumed our lives! Stephen is in class from eight in the morning until four in the evening. After we get home, he does homework for about three to four hours on a good day! Not to mention the nine thousand characters he has to learn. As Chinese is all we do, I have picked up on some as well. Notice my sentence? Good eh? Now our life is set in California for a while as we settle into our new lifestyle and what is to come in our near and distant future!

Our First Blog

As of January 18, 2010 Stephen left for San Antonia Texas for the United States Air Force! I am so proud of him! He graduates March 19, 2010! He is an Airborne Crypto Linguist for the Air Force. I know, I don't understand it either. All that I know about it is that he has a secret job and cannot tell me anything. After he graduates we are off to beautiful Monterey California for a year and a half. We are super excited! I am staying with my parents while he is gone. I will be joining Stephen at the end of March, and then our adventure begins!
