Adam is 1!!

Adam is 1 year old today! This year has flown by. We've had our ups and downs, and I have learned a lot about who I am as a woman and as a mom! Adam has grown up so much in this first year and we have loved every minute of watching him develop and become a little boy! From the NICU to a vibrant little boy who is talkative, crawls EVERYWHERE, independent, and has a very infectious smile. : ) It is a little bittersweet, because my baby in growing up, but I am excited to see what the next year and years to come brings for us and to watch Adam keep growing!  It has been a fun and exciting year! We go on Friday to his 12 month well baby check up to see just how BIG he is!

Adam can crawl!!

I would be lying to say that I wasn't worried about Adam being able to crawl, or if he ever would. But hey, I'm a mom. Yesterday(July 26, 2011) I was working on some sewing I needed to get done and Adam was sitting playing by himself. He was being pretty quiet, when I heard what sounded like little hands slapping my hardwood floors. So I watched him out of the corner of my eye, because I knew once he saw me watching, he wouldn't do much of anything. While I was watching, he was crawling!!!! He is still a little uncoordinated, but he is getting around the house! And getting into EVERYTHING! Stephen and I couldn't be happier!

By the end of the week he will be cruising everywhere! He has suddenly become a much happier baby. He can now get places he wants to go! Needless to say, he keeps me on the edge of my seat! Love this little guy

9 months!!!

Adam is 9 months old today! He's growing up way too fast!

He weighs 27 pounds
He's 30 inches tall

What does a 9 month old do you ask?

Throws temper tantrums
Shakes his head 'no' at you
Says 'dada' and 'mama'
Wants to help me and Stephen with everything
and gets into EVERYTHING!! No joke.

Sits in the grocery cart at the store!

Plays in mom's blinds. "Oh, mom, you weren't supposed to catch me"

Tried some Mac and Cheese. He liked what he could get in his mouth! 

And we're working on the crawling thing. He gets this far, but can't move. He gets mad because he wants to be mobile so badly but just can't get the coordination down to go go go!

He is getting more and more like a big boy every day. He likes doing everything on his own. Adam keeps us really busy, but he sure is cute.

My first 'extreme couponing' trip!

Walgreens was having a killer sale on Right Guard body was for buy one get one free! I bought some coupons for the same promotion!! I had 20 coupons but couldn't use all of them up. They were also having a sale on Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Tide.

That is 34 13.5 oz. bottles of body wash, 4 2 packs of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and 1 20 oz. Tide liquid Stain release. All of this retails for $97.26 (including the buy 1 get 1 free in store promotion) and I paid $9.36! That is a 90.37% savings! Pretty good if I do say so myself! I think I'm officially 'addicted'! I can't wait to keep couponing!

Keeping up with the Langs'

Easier said than done! Military, baby it gets hard.

New in our life: Adam is 6 and a half months old now. He's growing like a weed. We go to his check up next week so we can know how big he really is! He is trying so hard to sit like a big boy. He loves to blow raspberries with his mouth, and he is a foodie!! He LOVES the new flavors he gets to try.

Stephen is still trucking along with Chinese. He is just a little more than half way through his course! My business is growing and booming! I couldn't be happier with where it is going.

Adam has 'officially' been out of disposable diapers for 3 weeks! No more in the house, and no more on the shopping list. I'm glad that expense is out the door!

I decided I'd have a go at this 'extreme' couponing. I haven't made any purchases yet, but I'm in the organizing stage. I bought 5 papers on Sunday, and spent a better part of the day cutting them. Stephen thinks I'm nuts.

My newest goal!

With all the sewing I'm doing, I decided to open a home business. I opened a fan page on Facebook and a store on hyenacart.com. I am looking forward to seeing what comes of this new venture.
